On June 12, 2024, AgriproFocus Rwanda hosted its inaugural Land Accelerator Virtual Training, bringing together 27 restoration enterprises from the Lake Kivu Rusizi basin. This groundbreaking session focused on equipping participants with the tools to strengthen their business identities, drawing from insights gained through a comprehensive needs assessment survey.

The training covered critical business areas, including:

General Business Information: Understanding foundational business structures.

Main Business Activities: Highlighting core operations and scaling opportunities.

Products/Services and Market Access: Identifying key markets and improving outreach.

Partnerships and Collaborations: Strengthening networks for sustainable growth.

Financial Resources and Access: Navigating financial challenges and opportunities.

Key Challenges and Needs: Addressing barriers to growth and innovation.

Business Confidence: Enhancing participants' self-assurance in managing various aspects of their enterprises.

This training marked a significant step toward fostering sustainable restoration enterprises in Rwanda, which would promote economic growth while conserving the Lake Kivu Rusizi basin's natural resources.
